“9 Planets Club” was founded in summer of 2013. Our sole purpose was bringing curious minds together and compiling tools and techniques to reach our potential. To that end, we built our personalized “Science-Maker Space”. We have compiled a great library of over 300 books. We read inter-disciplinary material to apply on our projects. Our collection covers topics like Arduino, Robotics, Coding, CAD, 3D printing, Artificial Intelligence, World maps, Languages and hands-on science projects. We put together a tool bench for hands-on projects . We use both software and hardware components. Our early stages of projects included components like LEDS, copper tapes, coin cells, electronic circuits, Arduino , a 3-D printer, Virtual reality eye wear, Audio-Visual devices with a DLP projector for viewing ‘how-to’ videos.

We have participated in Science fairs, hosted Maker Camps, contributed as lead project coordinators at Elementary and Middle School and taken up Challenging projects with the Goal of helping local and Statewide community groups.

Some of our notable community projects are “Fire-Wise California”, “Virtually Unstoppable Ideas”, “California Islands Conservation” and Science activities packets for younger students.
